The Orn Bo Cottage

Our roadside sign welcomes you to our family cottage...

The Orn Bo Cottage is a privately-owned vacation retreat that is rented out when not in use by our family.  The modernized 800 sq foot cottage has retained all the charm of its 1930's vintage.  There is a wrap around deck built around a virgin white pine tree that can be enjoyed for outdoor conversation.  The screen-in porch contains a table and chairs for enjoying outdoor dining minus any pesky winged visitors.  It is also a great place to enjoy the sunset and the call of the loons.

The steps from the deck lead down a path to the boathouse, lakeshore ,and a long pier with bench to use for fishing, sunbathing, reading (a chaise lounge is also stored in boathouse which is just visible on the left), or watching the sailboats or other activities on the lake.  It is also a great place to watch the sunset or fireworks during the 4th of July.

The Orn Bo Cottage has a double bed in two bedrooms and a twin bed in a small (interior) bedroom.  There is a well-equipped full-size kitchen  with an electric stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave.  Off the galley kitchen is a bathroom with an enclosed tub/shower.  The kitchen opens lakeward to the open dining room and living room.  The living room has a beautiful fieldstone fireplace that contains a fireplace insert.  Wood is provided to use in the fireplace.  Two bedrooms are off the living room and the third bedroom opens to the bathroom and second bedroom.
