Location and Directions

The Orn Bo Cottage is located 10 miles east of Rhinelander, Wisconsin where you will find  restaurants, stores, barber shops, post office, Laundromats, churches, banks, department stores, a beautiful new golf course, and the airport.  Rhinelander is the shopping hub of the north (See What To Do page for more specific information).

                            DIRECTIONS FROM HWY 51 (or 39):
North of Tomahawk, turn right onto Hwy 8 East.  Go 14 miles to the stoplight.  Notice Hwy 8 and 47 to Monico sign.  Turn right at light.  Go another 14 miles on Hwy 8 East (you will pass River Bend Road, Pelican Ranch Road, Business 8, and County C).  Watch for yellow mailbox and Haymeadow Road... TURN ON YOUR DIRECTIONAL LIGHT FOR A  LEFT TURN.  (This can be a dangerous turn if there is on-coming traffic and cars directly behind you... be sure to give the cars behind you adequate notice of your left turn off Hwy 8.)  Turn left onto Haymeadow Road.  Go one mile and turn left onto North Pelican Lake Road.  Go three miles to the intersection of Cottage Road and Dam Road.  Turn left onto Cottage Road.  The Orn Bo Cottage is nearly at the end of Cottage Road at 3124.

                             DIRECTIONS FROM HWY 45:
About 45 miles north of Antigo, at the intersection of Hwys 8 and 47, turn left on Hwy 8 and go 3.5 miles.  Watch for the WAYSIDE on the right.  Just past the wayside, turn right onto Haymeadow Road.  (You will pass Malvern Fire Lane, Clausen Road, and a small bridge.)  Turn right onto North Pelican Road.  Go three miles to the intersection of Cottage Road and Dam Road.  Turn left onto Cottage Road.  The Orn Bo Cottage is nearly at the end of Cottage Road at 3124.
